Our Core Values

God is Love, and Love is For Everyone: We readily embrace God’s command to love one another as we have been loved. That love will sustain each of us through any struggles and challenges we may encounter. Our commitment to love is an extension of our love for God and for ourselves as we continue to believe in our own personal worth and in God’s presence in each of us. As offspring of God, we believe we are intrinsically good and fundamentally holy and encourage all persons to embrace and celebrate our loving relationships with God and with one another.
Spiritual Growth: As a community of people of faith, we believe we are empowered by God’s love and guided by the Holy Spirit to support one another through prayer, worship, spiritual and biblical education, and programs of personal spiritual enhancement.
Open and Affirming Community: We are a community born from numerous liturgical and cultural backgrounds. We celebrate this diversity and uphold each person’s relationship with God through nonjudgmental acceptance and a spirit of radical hospitality.
Peace and Social Justice: As representatives of Christ in this world, we are committed to ministering to persons facing rejection and marginalization from unjust and oppressive systems throughout our society. We condemn all acts of violence, abuse, and discrimination and challenge systems that promote inequality and exploitation.
Generosity: We embrace a spirit of giving. We understand that all we have comes from God and readily share our time, talent, and treasures to the expansion of God’s presence and power in throughout the world. We support our church and our community with joyous, generous, and sacrificial giving.
